URGENT – REVIEW OF EMA, 2004 AND SELECTED REGULATIONS

TEEA has received a request from NEMC to submit a compilation of our inputs to the review of the Environmental Management Act, 2004 and the following subsequent regulations:

  1. The Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit Regulation 2005 and 2018 amendments;
  2. The Environmental Management (Registration of Environmental Experts) Regulations, 2005; and
  3. The Environmental Management (Fees and Charges) (Amendments) Regulation, 2018

The compilation of areas that needs to be changed/ looked at should reach TEEA Executive Committee by or before 30/03/2019. We know it is a very short notice but let’s make the most of it.
