Tanga Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (Tanga UWASA) is an autonomous entity responsible for provision of water and sanitation services in Tanga City. With the need to improve its water supply and sanitation services, the Authority implement different types and sizes of water supply and sanitation improvement projects and to extend services to customers within the City.
In 2010 the Authority managed to secure its ESIA Certificate from National Environmental Management Commission (NEMC), Due to lapse of time and the possible changes of operating environment, statues and general conditions in the project area and the country in general, The Authority appointed Tansheq Limited to review and update its Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) report and renew the certificate to reflect the current condition.
Through our holistic approach, the client was issued with EIA certificate and the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) as well as Health and Safety Management Plan (HSMP) for the implementation of the entailed project activities thanks to our local knowledge of the regulations and technical expertise
